Through Hugo's paintbrush, you will be able to appreciate the immense and rich landscape of the Cochabamba landscape, from the author's selective optics. In this same way, he identifies himself with the daily reality, in Jorge Luís Borges poem, in his own words..... “If could live my life again, in the next one I would try to make more misstakes. I would not attempt to be more perfect, I would relax more. I would be sillier than I have been, in fact I would take things very lightly. I would be less hygienic, I would takje more risks, I would travel more, I would contemplate more evenings, I would hike more mountains, I would swim more rivers. I would go to places I have never gone, I would eat more ice crems.., I would have more real problems and less imaginary problems. I was one of those persons that lived sensible and fruitfully every minute of his life; undoubtedly I had moments of happiness. But if it could return behind, I would try to have solely good moments. For if you don't know, life is made of that, single moments; don't get lost now the. If I lived again, I would begin to walk barefoot at the beginning of spring and it would continue this way until late in the autumn. I would take more rides in a merry-go-round. I would contemplate more evenings and it would play with more children, if I had another life to go. But you see, I am eighty five years old and I know I am dying.” Hugo Revuelta was born in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and resides in that city. He has painted in oil for the the past 10 years, and spent 20 years designing and building artistic stained glass works. He took the paintbrush by chance, and he discovered that art lives inside him; the painting allows him to see, capture, and create beauty of nature and portraits of people. His last exhibition of painting in March 2004, had for title “Symphony in Green”, in homage to the nature, particularly that of the landscape of the “the most fertile soil of America”: Cochabamba.
